Parking & Check-in Reminders
AAPT Conference Participants–here is some last-minute information that might prove helpful as you travel to Collegeville.
- If you are taking the shuttle, be sure to read the post just below this one related to the shuttles.
- If you are driving a car, there is plenty of parking on campus and it’s free. The Mary Lot at the heart of campus is designated visitor parking for the summer, though the signs say “Faculty.”
- Housing check-in is at Mary Hall (#39 on the campus map). There is someone available 24 hours a day, and the number to contact them outside of normal business hours is posted on the door.
- Conference check-in is located in Quad 360 (#1 on the campus map). The table will be staffed from 2-6 on Wednesday, and all day Thursday starting at 8:30.
- Dining on campus is in the Refectory (“Reef”), located in the basement of the Quad. Dinner is served from 5 to 6:30, so if you’re arriving on campus after 6:30, you might want to plan to eat on your way, or order pizza once you’re settled. (The housing staff can provide local recommendations.) Breakfast is from 7-8:30. There will be coffee and light refreshments in Quad 360 starting Thursday morning.
- St. Joseph is the nearest town, just 5 miles from Collegeville. It has a decent-sized grocery store (Coborn’s) and a handful of restaurants if you’re driving in and want to stop for something.
- Any questions can be directed to me via e-mail or to Laura Schmitz at 320-363-3030 on campus.
