CFP deadlines for Teaching Hub Central and Pacific are Approaching!
The AAPT-APA Teaching Hubs are returning in 2022.
The AAPT-APA Teaching Hubs are interactive workshops and conversations designed specifically for philosophers and created to celebrate teaching within the context of the APA divisional meetings. Jointly organized by the American Association of Philosophy Teachers and the APA Committee on the Teaching of Philosophy, the Teaching Hubs aim to offer a range of high quality and inclusive development opportunities that address the teaching of philosophy at all levels, pre-college though graduate school.
Deadlines for proposals for the Central Division Meeting (February 2022 in Chicago, IL) and the Pacific Division Meeting (April 2022 in Vancouver, British Columbia) are approaching.
Central: proposals are due August 16, 2021. The individual calls for proposals are in the following areas (the links direct to the individual calls):
- Engaging in Pre-College Philosophy Through Writing
- Teaching Core Ideas Using Non-Canonical Texts
- Beyond Papers and Exams: Broadening Assessment Ideas in Philosophy
- Listening to our Undergrads: Incorporating Women’s Experiences into Philosophy Courses
