Get your proposal in!
Details on what needs to be included in the proposal are below. The process is quick and easy.
What is the Talking/Teaching weekly series: One hour, facilitator led conversations about a topic in teaching philosophy. No advance preparation or reservation required of participants.
What does the facilitator do: Facilitators give a brief introduction to a pedagogical concept or topic that is chosen in advance. The facilitator does not give a long presentation or host a Q and A. Rather, the facilitator spends 5-10 minutes providing a concise summary of their thinking on the topic they have chosen, and enough context and good questions to start and sustain a conversation.
Who can Apply and When: Anyone with experience teaching philosophy and facilitating conversations. Proposals accepted on a rolling basis starting summer 2022 and ending when all spots are filled.
Proposal Process: Send an email to sdonovan@wagner.edu, subject heading Talking/Teaching, with the following information:
- Name and Institution
- Title and topic
- Brief paragraph with a vision for the framing of the conversation
- A list of top three sources
- Top three dates and times that work for you (see below for choices)
