CFP: Teaching Hub @2020 Pacific
The AAPT-APA Teaching Hub is returning to the Pacific APA meeting in April 2020!
The AAPT-APA Teaching Hub is a series of interactive workshops and conversations designed specifically for philosophers and created to celebrate teaching within the context of the APA divisional meetings. Jointly organized by the American Association of Philosophy Teachers and the APA Committee on the Teaching of Philosophy, the Teaching Hub aims to offer a range of high quality and inclusive development opportunities that address the teaching of philosophy at all levels, pre-college though graduate school.
The calls for proposals are out and the proposals for sessions are due September 3, 2019.
For the Pacific Division Meeting, proposals are being accepted for the following sessions (links are to the calls themselves):
- Teaching Asian Philosophical Classes
- Syllabus Makeover Competition NOTE, the deadline for submissions for this session has been extended to September 10, 2019.
- Teaching Philosophy of Race or Gender: Challenges and Solutions
- Addressing Student Resistance and Alternative Facts: Classroom Activities and Assignments
- Metaphilosophy for Undergraduates

The Teaching Hub also offers a poster session for both undergraduate students’ original research (deadline: 11/15/2019) and faculty & graduate students’ work in SoTL (deadline: 8/15/2019).
