CFP: Talking/Teaching Session Topics and Facilitators
What is the Talking/Teaching weekly series: One hour, facilitator led conversations about a topic in teaching philosophy. No advance preparation or reservation required of participants.
What does the facilitator do: Facilitators give a brief introduction to a pedagogical concept or topic that is chosen in advance. The facilitator does not give a long presentation or host a Q and A. Rather, the facilitator spends 5-10 minutes providing a concise summary of their thinking on the topic they have chosen, and enough context and good questions to start and sustain a conversation.
Who can Apply and When: Anyone with experience teaching philosophy and facilitating conversations. Proposals accepted on a rolling basis starting summer 2022 and ending when all spots are filled.
- Final deadline for proposals for the Fall sessions is September 1, 2022.
- Final deadline for proposals for the Spring sessions is January 7, 2023.
