CFP reminders: Teaching Hub Poster Sessions and APA Pacific Teaching Hub

We’re just one week away from the September 1 deadline to submit to the 2024 APA Pacific Division Meeting–and also the APA Pacific Teaching Hub. The Teaching Hub will feature sessions on Chat GPT & AI in Education, Creative & Radical Pedagogy, and Outreach and Growth. If you’ll be in Portland, please consider submitting a proposal or planning to join us there.

Another way to participate in Teaching Hubs at APA division meetings is by sharing your work through the AAPT Teaching Hub Poster Sessions. Each Teaching Hub includes a poster session featuring both independent work by undergraduate students and innovative work in the teaching of philosophy by faculty and graduate students.

If you have something of your own to share with your colleagues—a new teaching technique, course proposal, assessment strategy, in-class activity, or scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) research finding—please consider submitting an abstract to one of the Teaching Hub poster sessions. Please also encourage undergraduates who have completed independent work in philosophy this past academic year and undergraduates who are working on summer research projects in philosophy currently to submit their abstracts. Faculty or graduate student posters featuring pedagogical or scholarship of teaching and learning (SOTL) are due September 1st. Undergraduate student posters featuring independent research (e.g. thesis, independent study) are due October 15th.
