CFP: PPJ’s New Engaged Scholars Digital Pilot Program
Public Philosophy Journal is accepting applications for participation in the Public Philosophy Journal’s 2018 New Engaged Scholars Digital Pilot Program. The program has been developed for graduate students desiring guided, collaborative processes in which to shape early ideas and drafts into publishable content. Program participants can expect to discover new networking opportunities, to receive substantial peer-to-peer guidance and feedback, to gain familiarity with practices of scholarly publishing, and to have their produced works considered for publication in the PPJ. These online activities will largely take place through engagement with the PPJ’s experimental Formative Peer Review platform (http://publicphilosophyjournal.org/review/).
Interested applicants may have an idea or draft for
- a solo-composed project
- a project they wish to develop with a group but seek assistance with finding group members
- a group project for which members are already secured
Proposed projects should be publicly relevant and accessible to a wide audience. Interdisciplinary projects are strongly encouraged and thus applicants working in areas other than philosophy will be equally considered.
The program will begin on February 5th and unfold throughout the Spring semester. The deadline for applications is January 1st.
We welcome you to share this call widely. Questions about the Program should be directed to Andrea Walsh, PPJ Managing Community Director, at walshan5@msu.edu.
