Call for Submissions: APA Blog Teaching Beat
(nota bene: AAPT members and others committed to advancing the art of teaching philosophy may be interested in this recent APA blog call for submissions. The AAPT is posting it here in hopes of reaching broader audiences.)
The Blog of the APA seeks submissions on the topic of teaching philosophy. We will consider any submissions, but are especially interested in hearing from the following:
- Teachers interested in sharing unique aspects of their syllabus and their experiences teaching with it.
- Graduate students looking to discuss some aspect of the graduate learning experience (this includes coursework and faculty relationships, but also with the field as a whole).
- Undergraduate philosophy majors with exciting experiences from their philosophy club, a class, or other related events.
- Anyone in the field with insights or questions about pedagogy as it related to philosophy.
The Blog of the APA is an online publication funded by the American Philosophical Organization and run by scholars from throughout the field. It shares perspectives from APA members and others in the field on any topic related to the practice of philosophy.
More information about the Blog can be found here. Information about submissions is here, and the submission form is here. To submit an idea for consideration, fill out the submission form and an editor will be in touch with you shortly.
