2026 AAPT-APA Teaching Hub CFPs
Calls for Proposals for all three 2026 AAPT-APA Teaching Hubs are now available on the APA website. Teaching Hub sessions are interactive workshops and conversations that celebrate teaching in the context of APA divisional meetings, whether on location or online.
Eastern APA Hub (Baltimore, January 8-9) topics include “Creative and Playful Pedagogy” and “Beyond the Paper: Alternative Assignment Design for Interdisciplinary Majors.” Proposals for the Eastern Hub are due August 1, 2025.
Central APA Hub (Chicago, February 18-21) topics include “What we (don’t) talk about when we talk about teaching,” “Ungrading,” “Epistemic Justice in Teaching,” and “Addressing Difficult Topics in Teaching the History of Philosophy.” Proposals for the Central Hub are due August 15, 2025.
Pacific APA Hub (online, April 9-10) topics include “Trends in Assessment,” “Cultivating Intellectual Virtues in the Classroom,” “Students as Partners in Learning,” and “Teaching with Technology.” Proposals for the Pacific Hub are due August 15, 2025.
All three Teaching Hubs will feature Poster Sessions. Calls for Proposals for the Eastern and Central Hubs are forthcoming; the Pacific Hub Call for Poster Proposals has already been posted
