[Aapt-list] Summer 2025 PLATO conference

PLATO (Philosophy Learning and Teaching Organization)
<https://www.plato-philosophy.org/>, a national nonprofit dedicated to
introducing philosophy to young people, is holding its Seventh Biennial
Conference June 27-28, 2025, at Tufts University in Medford, outside of
Boston. Recognizing that the highly-polarized nature of contemporary
society has left many educators reluctant to discuss important but
potentially controversial topics in classrooms and other settings, the
conference will focus on the intersection of philosophy and civic
engagement. Philosophers and educators are invited to submit presentation
proposals related to the intersection of philosophy and civic
participation.
The conference will feature concurrent sessions involving interactive
workshops, presentations, and poster sessions. All presentation proposals
must be submitted online by January 15, 2025.
