See below for a message from Sara Protasi, who is organizing a panel on inclusive accommodations in teaching at the upcoming Pacific APA in San Fransisco; I thought there may be AAPT members who are interested in participating. Thanks!
--------------
"I am looking for an expert pedagogue interested in presenting at the Pacific APA (April 16-19) in a panel organized by the APA committee on inclusivity in the profession, who could speak about accommodations and/or universal design.
(Note: one could speak about limitations of accessible design, or different ways to implement it, or propose an outright critique--it doesn't have to be a defense of the idea, provided that pedagogical considerations are given.)
Related topics could include teaching about disability, and teaching in an inclusive way while facing the challenges posed by new technology such as Large Language Models.
I am also open to other ideas in this general domain of inclusive teaching and disability.
If interested or have questions, please contact me at saraprotasi at gmail.com<mailto:saraprotasi at gmail.com> by October 6th.
(Apologies for the tight deadline!)"
