Call for Proposals

AAPT Session at the
Pacific Division APA meeting
April 12-15, 2017
Seattle, Washington

The American Association of Philosophy Teachers (AAPT) invites proposals for our session at the 2017 Pacific Division APA meeting in Seattle, WA, April 12-15, 2017.

Proposals on any topic related to teaching philosophy will be considered. Submissions are encouraged from teachers at both 2-year and 4-year colleges and universities; submissions from teachers of philosophy other educational institutions will also be considered. The AAPT encourages proposals that are interactive and practical (we find that sessions with interactive components that go beyond presentations plus Q&A are often appreciated by participants).

Format: The three hour session will be composed of three 45 minute presentations. It is highly unlikely that the session will have A/V technology, so plan accordingly.

Submissions: Please submit an abstract of no longer than 300 words, along with relevant citations. Proposals should be prepared for BLIND REVIEW (please put identifying information on a separate page). Submit in either Word or PDF format to Christina Hendricks: c.hendricks@ubc.ca (notice the dot between the “c” and the “hendricks” in this email address!)

Deadline for Proposals: September 30, 2016.
