The long-time reader of this blog (if there are any), will remember that Phil was an original contributor, but hasn't made the move to the new format. We hope to con him back in in one way or another soon! Perhaps after this summer's conference?
Here are a couple of his old posts:

From StateCollege.com:
State College, PA - Faculty Q + A: Paula Droege, Philosophy
Why did you choose teaching as a profession? That’s hard to say, exactly. It’s easier to say why I stick with it. Teaching gives me the opportunity to think and talk about really difficult and important issues. It would be hard to find time to think about philosophy otherwise. There is also the occasional student whose mind is utterly refigured by the process of considering philosophical questions. Few jobs offer the satisfaction of watching a student experience the ‘aha moment’ of an intractable conundrum resolving itself within the mind.

In Rochester's Democrat and Chronicle (which I delivered when I was 11, thank you very much).

Austin College, which was just rated in the top 10 for job satisfaction by the Chronicle, just hired Marjorie Hass (Muhlenberg) as their next president. Unbelievably good news. Now I just have one question: are they hiring?
